Kitron is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Director (BDD) to lead our global growth initiatives across Europe, the US, and Asia. As a key member of our commercial leadership team, you will drive customer acquisition, lead a high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) team, and shape the future of our sales strategy in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector.
This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and offers high visibility and influence within Kitron’s executive structure. It’s an ideal opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in multicultural environments, excels in negotiation, and is passionate about expanding business horizons.
Job Description:
- Lead and inspire a team of 7–8 Business Development Managers across multiple regions.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to attract new customers and expand Kitron’s global footprint.
- Drive contract negotiations and ensure successful deal closures.
- Translate corporate sales strategy into actionable directives for the BDM team.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Finance) to align business development efforts.
- Represent Kitron at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings worldwide.
- Uphold Kitron’s Code of Conduct and internal procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in B2B sales and business development, ideally within the EMS or electronics industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading international sales teams and managing complex negotiations.
- University degree in international business, Sales or Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- Fluent in Business English.
- Willingness to travel (50–70 days/year).
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-cultural navigation skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and a results-driven mindset.
