Job Description:
Review RFQ documentation and customer technical data to evaluate product complexity, associated risks, and suitability for production
Identify technical risks, key cost drivers, and opportunities for design or process optimization
Recommend appropriate suppliers and manufacturing strategies aligned with customer requirements and company capabilities
Prepare high‑level cost estimates (HLA) based on materials, labor, production methods, and other relevant factors
Support supplier evaluations by assessing technical content in supplier quotations
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, sourcing, engineering and operations to ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities
Contribute to the successful execution of awarded projects by supporting manufacturing sites during production launch
Act as a technical advisor during the pre-award phase and early production ramp-up
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing or industrialization (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, die casting)
In‑depth understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost structures
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
Experience working with assemblies (HLA) and BOM structures is an advantage
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD or similar)
Good understanding of supplier capabilities and manufacturing processes
